Everything New in Downtown Atlanta

Atlanta is always evolving, and this summer brings even more reasons to venture beyond the showrooms at AmericasMart. From major downtown redevelopments to new restaurants, entertainment venues and nightlife destinations, buyers will find plenty to explore after a productive day of sourcing.

A New Chapter for Downtown

One of the most ambitious transformations underway is Centennial Yards, the $5-billion redevelopment of the former Gulch rail yard just steps from Mercedes-Benz Stadium and State Farm Arena. The project is reshaping a long-overlooked stretch of downtown into a vibrant sports and entertainment district filled with retail, gathering spaces and restaurants like Zephyr Southern Brasserie in the newly opened Hotel Phoenix.

A major highlight is Cosm, a 70,000-square-foot immersive entertainment venue powered by “Shared Reality” technology. Its massive dome creates an ultra-immersive experience for live sports, films and special events, making it one of Atlanta’s newest must-see attractions.

A Revived Landmark at The Center

Another major project reshaping downtown is the redevelopment of the former CNN Center, now rebranded simply as The Center (The CTR). The 1.2-million-square-foot complex is being transformed into a destination for dining, entertainment and creative workspaces.

Now open is CTR Food Works, a 24-000-square-foot food hall anchored by CTR Bar, the largest bar in Atlanta. The culinary lineup features roughly a dozen dining concepts, including:The CTR rendering small

  • La Tropical – Latin-inspired kitchen

  • Fuzzy’s – seafood specialties

  • Patty & Frank’s – classic burgers and hot dogs

  • Mimi Taqueria – Mexican street favorites

  • Flora D’Italia – pizza-forward Italian fare

  • Dessert Box – bakery and sweet treats

207 Peachtree: Historic Building, New Nightlife

Just steps from campus, the historic building at 207 Peachtree Street has undergone a major transformation. The restored 1920s landmark is now a multi-venue destination spanning four floors and 45,000 square feet.

Longtime favorites Amalfi Cucina + Mercato and Red Phone Booth continue to anchor the property, while several new concepts add even more options for visitors. Highlights include Aire Rooftop Lounge, featuring indoor-outdoor seating and skyline views; American Dive, a lively spot for live music and Southern-inspired fare; and Peachtree Sporting Club, an upscale sports bar with simulator bays and a massive video wall.
